Weight loss for pre-empty nester women who don't like working out

Despite the endorphins that exercise releases, sometimes it's hard to make yourself look forward to actually working out. It can become such a mind game and every excuse comes into play.

It might sound crazy, but I have found that when I really like my workout clothes, I actually look forward to working out. AND if I put those clothes on as soon as I get out of bed in the morning, it starts my day off right!

Here are four of my FAVORITE workout brands right now:

ATHLETA

I was asked recently which brand of sports bras was my favorite and I have to say all the ones I’ve bought from Athleta are my favorite. I forget I have them on when I’m wearing them because they are that comfortable. I also like they have a Bra Finder Quiz where you can find a bra that fits your needs. I feel extra sassy when I have the whole outfit from Athleta. They also have fabulous everyday wear!

NIKE

Those little swooshes get me every time! Nike always has the most stylish and comfortable shoes. The cross training Nike Free are great for my workouts and these Nike Pegasus for walking/running. They give me just the support I need to finish my at home workouts. You can also do the NIKE ID to design your own shoe.

LULULEMON

I’m most obsessed with these yoga pants . Not only is the Everlux material comfortable and extremely soft, they also have a high waist so you can hide your muffin top. The price point isn’t the least expensive, but sometimes you can find them on sale or ask for them for Christmas, which is what I do each year. I also love Lululemon headbands...they stay on and keep the sweat from dripping down your face plus they usually come in styles that match their cute tops and bottoms.

CALIA

Also known as Carrie Underwood’s brand, this is a great modest yet stylish workout gear with a better price point. I’m particularly fond of their shorts, especially the 5” inseam ones . They have high waist bands and are super comfortable.

When you workout in that old college t-shirt, it makes you feel frumpy and isn’t very motivating. Finding a cute workout outfit that will give you that extra oomph of motivation can be a game changer. Some of my friends even wear makeup to workout to make them feel extra sassy.

And, just so you know…Target, Old Navy, and TJ Maxx have cute, inexpensive, fitness training clothes if the above are out of your price range.

I’m looking forward to seeing you post your cute, sweaty selfies on social media in your new cute workout clothes!

There was a recent post in my neighborhood Facebook group that read: In search of a unicorn: Remote, work-from-home, part-time job Make my own hours Not MLM Not cold calling I've done Door Dash before but don't want to put any more wear/tear on my car. I'm an efficient typist. I have 13+ years of self-taught graphic design (Photoshop & Illustrator) experience. I'm tech-savvy, creative, and I learn quickly. Any ideas? It made me wonder why Network Marketing/MLM jobs get such a bad rap? I get it, I used to avoid the lady at my church who always wanted me to have a home party for her. And, I said “no” to all the people who introduced me to their opportunities. A few bad apples might have left a bad taste in your mouth too. However, I remember reading a book about Mary Kay Ash when I was in elementary school. The business she created allowed her to be present for her kids while also building a business. That was something I always desired. And the business model she created also made sense. It was a lot of people coming together to do a little which compounded into something big. As a stay at home mom, I was getting tired of being strapped financially and I wanted some play money. I didn’t want to work outside of the home because my kids were my priority and I wanted to be fully available to them. I was approached by my BFF about a business. At first, I said no and began to avoid her like the lady at my church. But, then I started to become curious about the business opportunity. I’d seen how well the products worked for my BFF and her husband. And, I remembered Mary Kay Ash’s network marketing business. This business opportunity wasn’t selling makeup, pills, or a face cream but a lifestyle change that would create a ripple effect for those who used the products. It was what I personally needed for my health and it made sense. I can tell you the truth about network marketing. It is the best business model I have found for women who want to work their own hours, has a small start-up cost, and allows them to leverage their time by working as a team. It takes hard work, diligence, and being coachable. You are the type who isn’t afraid to try something new and wants to create a ripple effect that can make an impact on generations to come. Let’s make a lasting impact together. More information about how you can join me in changing lives can be found here .
