Weight loss for pre-empty nester women who don't like working out

Maintaining an active lifestyle in college

As your students prepare to transition from high school to college, it's essential to plant the seeds of an active lifestyle that will flourish in the collegiate landscape. College campuses, bustling hubs of energy and opportunity, provide an array of options to keep those bodies moving and grooving. A study from Purdue University showed that students who stay active and visit their campus gym are more likely to get better grades!

Discover the Power of Accountability

Encourage your kids to find an accountability partner, a fitness sidekick ready to conquer the recreation center together a few times a week. Whether it's a roommate, a newfound friend, or a fellow freshman, having a workout buddy adds a layer of fun and motivation to staying active.

Swing, Serve, Score

College is the perfect breeding ground for discovering new sports and activities. Suggest a game of pickleball or tennis with friends—energetic, dynamic, and a fantastic way to break a sweat while building camaraderie. It's not just about the game; it's about creating lasting memories and forging connections.

Hoop Dreams and Pickup Scenes

Dive into the world of spontaneous fun by joining a pickup basketball game. Whether it's at the campus courts or a local park, basketball is a social sport that combines fitness with the joy of friendly competition. It's a fantastic way to meet new people and keep the heart pumping.

Stride and Socialize

Catching up with friends doesn't always have to involve sitting. Encourage your college-bound kids to turn socializing into a walking affair. Explore the campus together, go for a stroll, or challenge each other to hit daily step goals. It's an active approach to bonding that keeps both the body and the conversation flowing.

Make it easy!

Embrace the convenience of working out in the dorm room or apartment with BODi. This fitness platform opens up a world of possibilities with hundreds of workouts, many of which require minimal equipment. From quick HIIT sessions to yoga flows, BODi offers a virtual fitness playground accessible right from the comfort of their dorm room.

Get Creative with Campus Exploration

Encourage your kids to get creative in their pursuit of staying active. Campus exploration itself can be a delightful workout. Suggest bike rides around the college grounds, impromptu dance sessions on the quad, or even a game of frisbee with friends. Turning everyday activities into opportunities for movement adds a touch of spontaneity to their fitness routine.

Start now!

Before they embark on their college adventure, sow the seeds of movement by engaging in these activities together this summer. It's not just about fostering a love for staying active; it's about creating a bond, instilling healthy habits, and relishing quality time together. Make the transition from high school to college an active adventure that sets the stage for a lifetime of joyful movement.

As your kids step into the vibrant tapestry of college life, let the heartbeat of their journey echo the rhythm of an active and exhilarating lifestyle. From accountability partners to pickup games and dorm room workouts, every choice is a step toward a healthier, happier, and more energetic future.

Here's to the adventure of staying active—may it be a journey filled with laughter, friendship, and the joy of moving those bodies! 🚀💃🏀

There was a recent post in my neighborhood Facebook group that read: In search of a unicorn: Remote, work-from-home, part-time job Make my own hours Not MLM Not cold calling I've done Door Dash before but don't want to put any more wear/tear on my car. I'm an efficient typist. I have 13+ years of self-taught graphic design (Photoshop & Illustrator) experience. I'm tech-savvy, creative, and I learn quickly. Any ideas? It made me wonder why Network Marketing/MLM jobs get such a bad rap? I get it, I used to avoid the lady at my church who always wanted me to have a home party for her. And, I said “no” to all the people who introduced me to their opportunities. A few bad apples might have left a bad taste in your mouth too. However, I remember reading a book about Mary Kay Ash when I was in elementary school. The business she created allowed her to be present for her kids while also building a business. That was something I always desired. And the business model she created also made sense. It was a lot of people coming together to do a little which compounded into something big. As a stay at home mom, I was getting tired of being strapped financially and I wanted some play money. I didn’t want to work outside of the home because my kids were my priority and I wanted to be fully available to them. I was approached by my BFF about a business. At first, I said no and began to avoid her like the lady at my church. But, then I started to become curious about the business opportunity. I’d seen how well the products worked for my BFF and her husband. And, I remembered Mary Kay Ash’s network marketing business. This business opportunity wasn’t selling makeup, pills, or a face cream but a lifestyle change that would create a ripple effect for those who used the products. It was what I personally needed for my health and it made sense. I can tell you the truth about network marketing. It is the best business model I have found for women who want to work their own hours, has a small start-up cost, and allows them to leverage their time by working as a team. It takes hard work, diligence, and being coachable. You are the type who isn’t afraid to try something new and wants to create a ripple effect that can make an impact on generations to come. Let’s make a lasting impact together. More information about how you can join me in changing lives can be found here .
