Weight loss for pre-empty nester women who don't like working out

I was “blessed” with hips. I only pushed through 3 contractions with both children. That is the only benefit of having large hips. Period.

Shopping for jeans and shorts has always been nightmare. To have enough room for my booty, all my pants end up with gaping waistline in the back. I’ve always been “pear” shaped. As a high schooler, I was very self-conscious about my booty. Even at 115 pounds, I still found it difficult to find clothes that fit right.

A few years back, I was asked to be in a test group for the new 60 day Piyo workout program. Combining Yoga and Pilates in a fast-paced way, I was able to shrink my body without aerobic exercise or jumping.

Definitely some changes…even if only 3 inches.
It’s tough to do something consistently for 60 days, but here are 3 things I found that kept me in check:
  1. I’d created a habit that made me feel good.
  2. My accountability buddies were posting in our group which made it fun because they were going through it with me!
  3. I wanted to have my completed “before/after” photo!

Habits.
Accountability.
Completion.

These Are Three Things That People Need In Order To Get Healthy.

Habits
Habits are made. I was making a habit by getting up each morning to workout. I was reminding myself each time how I felt after the workout. That way, when 6am came too early, I wanted that feeling again.
What is something you WANT? Is it to exercise regularly, eat healthier, or read your Bible daily? To create that habit, SCHEDULE IT! I scheduled my workout each morning. Then, it became a habit. I don’t schedule brushing my teeth because I know I do it when I wake up and when I go to bed. It’s a habit.

Accountability
I didn’t want to let the other ladies in my accountability group down. They were looking to me for guidance (since I created the group). I wanted to be a part of the experience they were having. Find a group that will KEEP you accountable to your goal. If it’s exercise and eating right, I have accountability groups that start several times a month. Let me plug you into one!

Completion
Beachbody products are amazing because they have a start date and an end date. Mentally, you know you have 30 days, 6 week, 60 days, 10 weeks, or 90 days to do the program (depending on the program). I had my goal to complete this program in the allotted 60 days. I was taking my measurements every STATURDAY (a term we call Saturdays that you figure out your stats). I had lost a couple of inches all over my body. It was going well. I wanted to finish. Plus, if you complete your program and turn in your before/after photos…you get a free t-shirt. I wanted that shirt!

Do you start things but never finish? I’m guilty of that, too, but I didn’t want that this time! That’s why I’ve loved this program and my support through the accountability group.

Are you ready to complete a fitness program yourself? I have so many for you to choose from and I'd love to get you started. Message me to get started and we’ll finish TOGETHER.

There was a recent post in my neighborhood Facebook group that read: In search of a unicorn: Remote, work-from-home, part-time job Make my own hours Not MLM Not cold calling I've done Door Dash before but don't want to put any more wear/tear on my car. I'm an efficient typist. I have 13+ years of self-taught graphic design (Photoshop & Illustrator) experience. I'm tech-savvy, creative, and I learn quickly. Any ideas? It made me wonder why Network Marketing/MLM jobs get such a bad rap? I get it, I used to avoid the lady at my church who always wanted me to have a home party for her. And, I said “no” to all the people who introduced me to their opportunities. A few bad apples might have left a bad taste in your mouth too. However, I remember reading a book about Mary Kay Ash when I was in elementary school. The business she created allowed her to be present for her kids while also building a business. That was something I always desired. And the business model she created also made sense. It was a lot of people coming together to do a little which compounded into something big. As a stay at home mom, I was getting tired of being strapped financially and I wanted some play money. I didn’t want to work outside of the home because my kids were my priority and I wanted to be fully available to them. I was approached by my BFF about a business. At first, I said no and began to avoid her like the lady at my church. But, then I started to become curious about the business opportunity. I’d seen how well the products worked for my BFF and her husband. And, I remembered Mary Kay Ash’s network marketing business. This business opportunity wasn’t selling makeup, pills, or a face cream but a lifestyle change that would create a ripple effect for those who used the products. It was what I personally needed for my health and it made sense. I can tell you the truth about network marketing. It is the best business model I have found for women who want to work their own hours, has a small start-up cost, and allows them to leverage their time by working as a team. It takes hard work, diligence, and being coachable. You are the type who isn’t afraid to try something new and wants to create a ripple effect that can make an impact on generations to come. Let’s make a lasting impact together. More information about how you can join me in changing lives can be found here .
