Weight loss for pre-empty nester women who don't like working out

When you want to lose weight, you join a gym, right?

WRONG.

I used to be a member of a gym, but I found that when I canceled my membership, I actually looked and felt better!

Sounds crazy, right? Well, here are four reasons why I think you should cancel your gym membership TODAY.

1. GERMS. I don’t know about you but since this pandemic, being in a place where there are a lot of people who are sweating and spreading germs does not sound like a great option. I want to limit my chances of getting sick. Speaking of sick, when my kids were young and I had a membership to a gym, I’d make it to the gym one day and couldn’t go back for another 2 weeks because my kids seemed to catch every illness in existence from the gym childcare. Maybe you can relate?

2. YOU ARE BUSY.

You don’t have time to drive to the gym, check your kids into childcare, take an hour-long class (or if you are like me…wander around the gym for the hour trying to figure out how to use the machines), get the kids out of child care, and drive home. That’s a lot of time that you really don’t have.

3 . NO MORE COMPARISON.

Maybe it’s a girl thing but I found when I went to the gym, I would compare my body’s results to other people’s results. When I left the gym, I didn’t feel strong or confident, it made me feel defeated. I would feel fat as I looked in the mirror. They all seemed to have perfect bodies. I felt as though no matter what I did, I would never look like them.

4. WHAT ELSE COULD YOU DO WITH THAT MONEY EACH MONTH?

I used to pay $120 per month for my gym membership. YIKES! What else could you do with that money? Maybe pay off bills, give money away, have better date nights, or even buy cuter fitness training clothes!

Here’s what to do instead: work out at home!

Working out at home has not only been great for my pocketbook but for my schedule and my confidence. I have more time and I look better than I did when I had a membership to a gym.

You don’t have to buy any fancy home equipment, either. You just need a TV and space big enough to shake that groove thing.

For as little as $99 every 3 months (or $179 for ONE FULL YEAR), you can have access to 1400 different workouts and complete programs with proven results. You can try out an in-home training program for free by clicking here .

I’m certain you won’t miss that gym membership.

There was a recent post in my neighborhood Facebook group that read: In search of a unicorn: Remote, work-from-home, part-time job Make my own hours Not MLM Not cold calling I've done Door Dash before but don't want to put any more wear/tear on my car. I'm an efficient typist. I have 13+ years of self-taught graphic design (Photoshop & Illustrator) experience. I'm tech-savvy, creative, and I learn quickly. Any ideas? It made me wonder why Network Marketing/MLM jobs get such a bad rap? I get it, I used to avoid the lady at my church who always wanted me to have a home party for her. And, I said “no” to all the people who introduced me to their opportunities. A few bad apples might have left a bad taste in your mouth too. However, I remember reading a book about Mary Kay Ash when I was in elementary school. The business she created allowed her to be present for her kids while also building a business. That was something I always desired. And the business model she created also made sense. It was a lot of people coming together to do a little which compounded into something big. As a stay at home mom, I was getting tired of being strapped financially and I wanted some play money. I didn’t want to work outside of the home because my kids were my priority and I wanted to be fully available to them. I was approached by my BFF about a business. At first, I said no and began to avoid her like the lady at my church. But, then I started to become curious about the business opportunity. I’d seen how well the products worked for my BFF and her husband. And, I remembered Mary Kay Ash’s network marketing business. This business opportunity wasn’t selling makeup, pills, or a face cream but a lifestyle change that would create a ripple effect for those who used the products. It was what I personally needed for my health and it made sense. I can tell you the truth about network marketing. It is the best business model I have found for women who want to work their own hours, has a small start-up cost, and allows them to leverage their time by working as a team. It takes hard work, diligence, and being coachable. You are the type who isn’t afraid to try something new and wants to create a ripple effect that can make an impact on generations to come. Let’s make a lasting impact together. More information about how you can join me in changing lives can be found here .
