Here’s a little bit more about me…

My faith matters so much to me.

Now, I know I said my list was in random order, but I can’t help but put God first. I’m a minister’s daughter. But I had to decide for myself what I believed. And let me tell you… although there have been times when I’ve strayed, I don’t know where I’d be without my faith in God. HE alone sustains me. I’m not perfect by any stretch but I’m so grateful that God loves me anyway.

My husband Jeffrey and I got married in July of 1998, in Houston. (Yes, it was HOT.) After dating for 8 months, he proposed to me in New York City. Yep…total fairy tale: Central park and everything! Four months later we were married. Nine months after that…we were pregnant! YIKES! Talk about a whirlwind. He is the total opposite of me, and that’s a good thing!

I’m a mother to Will (born in 2000) and Jake (born in 2002). Being a mom of boys is perfect for me. I’m the princess…just like it’s supposed to be. As a little girl I NEVER went through the “boys have cooties” stage. I’ve always been crazy about boys…and still am!

Fitness does NOT come naturally to me.

I’m a fitness junkie…just kidding. I am into fitness as a necessity. You see, I played soccer for half a season in second grade. The outfits (wait, they call them uniforms) were okay, but I wasn’t a fan of the sweating. No joke. However, I watched as my older family members’ bodies deteriorate due to not taking care of them properly, and I knew I didn’t want that for myself. So I’m not exactly “passionate about fitness” as much as I am “passionate about not being bedridden when I’m 70.” I like to share what I’m doing in hopes to encourage others to get out there and (gulp) sweat. You can join me in one of my challenge groups, and we can laugh our way through a month of fitness together!.


I’m learning how to take care of my body with good food.

Confession: my two favorite foods are Macaroni & Cheese and French Fries. Yep. Because of that (and the fact that I have diabetes in my family), I’ve had to change my eating habits and learn to eat new things that are good from my body. So, I’m learning how to eat new, healthy foods and enjoy them! I LOVE to have lots of FUN in my life!

Oh…I like to have fun…and dance! Spending time with friends is super important to me and so is traveling. I’ve been able to develop a business where I get to work and travel with friends. Pretty cool, huh? In fact, if you’d like to build a flexible business where you’re your own boss, we should chat. With traveling, there is just something special about being in a new place. Oh, and if it happens to have a pool with poolside service…even better. But the very best travel is going to help others. I’ve made several trips to Ecuador with Compassion International.
